Virginia’s Absolute GREATEST Burger Joints
Are you stuck in a dinner rut? Maybe it’s time to try one of the best Virginia burger joints!
MELT Gourmet Cheeseburgers, Leesburg
All the buns in this establishment are baked fresh daily. They offer Burger of the Month specials and amazing fries, and they’ve been voted “Best Burger in Loudon” for the last four years running. It’s easy to see why this is one of the best Virginia burger joints! I’m partial to the Paris Burger here. It’s a beef burger topped with melted Brie, balsamic glazed onions, baby spinach, and dijon mustard.
80/20 Burger Bar, Norfolk
This burger joint sources all its meat from local farms, they have live music, and their beer selection is awesome. What more could you want from one of the bestVirginia burger joints? My go-to burger from 80/20 is the Pee Wee. It’s topped with corned beef, sauerkraut, havarti cheese, and dirty south aioli. If that doesn’t sound like your type of burger, don’t worry! There’s plenty of others to choose from!
Burger Bach, Charlottesville
This New Zealand-inspired gastro pub is dedicated to all things organic. All their meat is grass-fed and/or free range, and their produce and dairy is all organic from New Zealand or locally sourced. The North Lamb burger is my personal favorite. It’s a lamb patty topped with tzatziki sauce, diced onions, lettuce, tomato, and garlic aioli. This is easily one of the bestVirginia burger joints, and you have to visit if you haven’t been before.
Citizen Burger, Charlottesville and Clarendon
At Citizen Burger, they believe that relaxing with a tasty burger and a beer is one of your essential liberties. They help secure that sacred right by only using locally produced top-tier ingredients. Clearly this plan is working out for them – they’re one of the premierVirginia burger joints. This is one of the few places where the house burger is so perfect, I don’t get anything else! The Citizen Burger is the way to go when you’re here.
Burger Bar, Bristol
The old-timey atmosphere and decor somehow makes the burgers from Burger Bar taste better. It’s been a local favorite since 1942, giving it a solid place on any list of the best burger joints in Virginia. Try the daily special! It’s always a home run. Otherwise, I’m partial to the Hey Good Looking burger, which is topped with sautéed mushrooms and onions. Simple and delicious perfection!
