If you know a teenager who has always wanted to be a lifeguard, this is their chance! Prince William County is hosting three hiring events for summer workers all over the region.
Free training, valuable work experience, and tons of fun and camaraderie — what’s not to love? Athletic teens who are looking for summer employment should consider being a lifeguard for Prince William County!
Who can apply to be a lifeguard?
All applicants must be at least 15 years old and complete an online application.
All applicants must be able to complete the following swimming requirements: treading water for two minutes without using arms or hands, retrieving a 10-pound brick from the deepest end of the pool, and swimming 200 yards without stopping.
When are the hiring events?
Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Manassas Park Community Center (99 Adams Street | Manassas Park, VA) from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center (13025 Chinn Park Drive | Woodbridge, VA) from 6:15-8:00 p.m.
Monday, April 15, 2019, at Dale City Recreation Center (14300 Minnieville Road | Woodbridge, VA) from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
How do I apply?
Simply choose your preferred hiring event and complete the online application form. Be in tip-top swimming shape and be prepared to do your requirements test at the event. You will also be interviewed by a hiring manager.
Where are the jobs and how much do they pay?
Summer lifeguard positions are located all over Prince William County, including rec centers, outdoor pools, and water parks. The hourly pay is $10.04-$17.05 based on skills and experience.
